Fuse Stress

Systems Design

Systems design involves properly defining the desired performance characteristics of a system, creating a design concept adhering to these characteristics, and optimizing the design during aircraft integration. Careful consideration must be given to clearance minimums, performance and certification requirements, impact to other systems or structure, loads, weight, maintenance, and cost. Properly designed systems require a functional understanding of the system involved and careful coordination with clients and vendors.

Aerosciences designers have first-hand experience with system design, from a complete 'clean sheet' layout, to detailed tolerancing and manufacturing of parts. Our capabilities include creating 3D kinematic models and gearing ratios for flight control systems, routing of tubing, clearance checking, and developing assembly and installation designs.

Aerosciences system designers will work closely with our customers and our internal stress and certification engineers to ensure the validity of any system.
